Feride Makhmudova is a Turkish illustrator based in Atlanta, Georgia specializing in children’s book and product illustration. Her interest in illustration began with the children’s books and folk tales she read in her childhood. Her work explores themes of nature, childlike wonder, and fantasy. She received her B.F.A in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

I have always been fascinated with children’s books and folktales, and the charming illustrations that filled each page. I often found myself rereading the books solely to admire the artwork. My dream is to bring these stories to life and create a magical experience for young readers. Through digital mediums, my work mainly consists of blues, purples, and greens that allow warmer hues to spotlight the illustration.
